PARTNER SPOTLIGHT
The mission of the Buhl Foundation is to create community legacies by leveraging its resources to encourage people and organizations to dream, to innovate and to take action. Committed to a place-based strategy, The Buhl Foundation invests in the lives and futures of the residents of the Northside through its One Northside initiative.
One Northside, a model for community-driven neighborhood revitalization and system change aims to catalyze and support non-profit agencies and partners serving Pittsburgh’s 18 Northside neighborhoods in five pillars – safety, health, education, employment, and place.

A commitment to our community
EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS
At Sarah Heinz House, our compassionate staff and devoted volunteers inspire children to explore new interests, grow social skills, and chase their dreams. You or your organization can be a pivotal part of this mission! Your generous donations, time, and talents can create a lasting impact, helping us continue our essential work in the community.
Every dollar and every minute of your volunteer effort contributes to a brighter future for the children we serve. Financial constraints should not limit participation in our enriching programs. While the programming costs approximately $1,700 per child, we provide access for just $25 annually. A $25 donation covers an entire school year's youth membership fee. This vital investment ensures a safe and inclusive environment for all children, offering daily healthy activities, homework assistance, and nourishing dinners and snacks.
