Whether your camper is an aspiring engineer, artist, or adventurer, our wide variety of day camps, specialty camps, and overnight camps provide engaging experiences in a safe, nurturing environment. 🌞

Day Camps: June 16-August 8
Our Day Camps offer fun, engaging activities tailored to your child’s age and interests. Activities include art, STEM, swimming, games, and field trips to exciting locations like the science center, zoo, and more! These are the age groups available:

Early Childhood (Preschool-Completed 2nd Grade)

Camp Features:​

Rotating activities: Gym, pool, art, STEM, dance, and game room.

Special events: Talent shows, water play, inflatables, and field trips.

Leadership Camp exclusives: Advanced skill-building activities and potentially special events!
Timing: Camp hours: 9:30 AM–4 PM (You can elect to participate in pre-camp care from 8–9:30 AM and/or after-camp care: 4–5:30 PM for an additional $30/week (please note that there is a separate fee for each additional care option). Anyone not enrolled in pre-camp care may not arrive prior to 9:20 AM, and anyone not enrolled in after-camp care must be picked up by 4:10 PM.

HEINZ HOUSE RESIDENTIAL CAMP
Spend a week immersed in the great outdoors at our Residential Camp in Ellwood City, PA! Enjoy classic summer camp activities like kayaking, high ropes, wilderness skills, and more.

Boys' Overnight Resident Camp: Boy's resident camp is a week-long opportunity for members to sleep in canvas tents and enjoy classic summer camp activities. Campers get the chance to learn new skills (i.e. kayaking, fishing, wilderness skills), challenge themselves (i.e. high ropes challenge course, campfire cooking), build friendships, and enjoy games, all while benefiting from time immersed in nature.

Questions & Answers
When does registration open?
Registration opens on January 6, 2025. Be sure to register early as spots fill quickly! (And to take advantage of early bird discounts!)
How do I register for summer camp?
Registration can be completed online through our portal. Click the “Register Now” button to get started.

Are there early bird discounts?
Yes! Early bird rates are available for all camps if you register by January 10. Be sure to sign up early to save!

What are the camp dates and hours?

Day Camps: June 16–August 8, 2025 (closed June 19 and July 4).

Day Camp activities include:

Can I enroll my child in just one week of Day Camp?
Yes, families can enroll on a week-by-week basis. However, bundle discounts are available for those who register for all 8 weeks.

Will lunch or snacks be provided at Day Camp?
Yes, Sarah Heinz House will provide lunch and a snack each day; however, families may choose to send their own lunch and/or snack.

Are there nap/rest times for younger campers?
Yes, preschool campers will have a designated rest hour as part of their daily schedule.

Specialty Camp Questions
Can my child attend both Day Camp and a Specialty Camp?
Yes! Specialty Camps run during specific weeks, and your child can participate in both programs, returning to day camp after their specialty camp is finished.

Are Specialty Camps suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! Many Specialty Camps are designed for beginners, such as Mini Makers and A Little Artist’s Studio. Check the descriptions for age requirements and experience levels.

Where is the Residential Camp located?
Our Residential Camp is located in Ellwood City, PA, along the Slippery Rock Creek.

What are the accommodations like at Residential Camp?
Campers sleep in canvas tents and enjoy classic outdoor summer camp activities, such as kayaking, fishing, and campfire cooking.
​
Is transportation provided to Residential Camp?
Parents/guardians are responsible for drop-off and pick-up. Arrival is on Sundays at 2:00 PM, and pick-up is on Sundays at 12:00 PM.

Pricing and Payment Questions
How much do the camps cost?
Pricing varies by program and age group. Early bird discounts apply!

Are payment plans available?
Yes! A 25% deposit is required at registration, and the balance can be paid monthly. Full payment is due by May 31, 2025. Contact us at SHH@sarahheinzhouse.com to set up a payment plan.

Can I get a refund if I need to cancel?
The last day for refunds is May 31, 2025. After this date, neither refunds nor credit will be issued.

Registration and Logistics Questions
How will I know if my child’s spot is confirmed?
You will receive a confirmation email once your registration is complete and payment/deposit has been processed.

What should my child bring to camp?
A detailed packing list will be provided, but generally:

Day Camp: Lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, swim gear, and a change of clothes.

Residential Camp: Clothing, toiletries, bedding, and optional items like a flashlight or journal.
