Clay & Pottery Level 2: FEE $75

Guided by a skilled instructor, each child will have the opportunity to experiment with textures, patterns, and forms, encouraging individual expression and artistic growth. Our aim is to provide a supportive environment where youth can unleash their creativity, gain confidence in their abilities, and take pride in their handmade masterpieces.

In this playful class, students will explore different ways to craft and express themselves while they lean into the fun of art and crafting. Each week students will complete a new project - some individually and some with the entire class.

Guided by an experienced instructor, children will learn the basics of working with clay, from shaping and molding to decorating their own masterpieces. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment where children can express themselves artistically while learning valuable techniques in clay and pottery.

This class will work with our more serious developing artists to build skills. The first half hour of each class will be focused on a single skill or technique while the second part of this class will allow students to either practice that skill or work on their own portfolio under the guidance of our teaching artist. The goal for students in this class is to develop their portfolio, hone their skills, and get their work into a place where it can be publicly displayed.

Learn the art of comic book making and read different types of comics. Create a comic strip throughout the class.

This class is focused on teaching the techniques and processes involved in creating prints. Printmaking is the art of producing images by transferring ink from a matrix or through a prepared screen to a sheet of paper or other material. This class covers various methods, each with its unique characteristics and applications.

Gaming not only helps us make play come alive but it helps us to pass on traditions and stories. Each week we will both play and explore games and work on creating our own game to share with others!

In this class, students learn to combine different mediums such as painting, drawing, collage, printmaking, sculpture, and digital art.
