Programs Offered
Membership programs include:
Healthy Choices for Life*
Have fun while getting physically fit. Learn about the importance of teamwork, self-esteem and healthy choices. Games, sports, swimming, and a free healthy snack bar. Weekly attendance is mandatory for members.
Life Skills Club*
Learn important social skills and how to make positive choices through fun activities, service projects, field trips and guest speakers. Weekly attendance is mandatory for members.
Open Gym & Swim
Free time in the Baierl gym and pool to enjoy activities with friends in a supervised but unstructured setting.
Art/Craft Classes
Create art projects while having fun with friends. From beginner to intermediate. All skill levels welcome.
Sewing and Cross-Stitch/Embroidery
Learn the basics of sewing and cross-stitch to make fun projects.
Design Factory
Plan, design and create building models using CAD-based software. Learn about sustainable design and construction. Developed through Carnegie Mellon University’s Steinbrener Institute and the University of Pittsburgh’s Mascaro Center for Sustainable Design.
Education Nation
Bring your homework or learn something new with desktop computers and room for quiet study. Fun learning activities and Star Wars themes await you!
Fitness Center
Increase strength and flexibility and learn how to use gym equipment in our state-of-the art fitness center.
Robotics Drop-In Lab
Explore our robotics lab at your own pace during drop-in times. Our instructor and volunteers are available to demonstrate how to build and program robots.
Leadership Development/Keystone Club
Available to high school students. Emphasis on academic success, career preparation and community service. Participate in mentoring younger members and volunteer service. Qualified teens have the opportunity to gain job skills and work as camp counselors and program assistants.
Café
All members receive free, nutritious dinners each week night and snacks six days per week to ensure healthy eating

Additional Programs
The specialized classes are available for an additional low fee. See schedule for class times and availability.
Swimming Lessons
Organized classes with individual instruction to build swimming skills and knowledge of water safety. Our goal is for youth to have fun and be fit through time in a pool.
Robotics
Whether you’re a beginner or have experience with robots, there is something for you in our Robotics Program. Classes are arranged by age using Lego, VEX and FIRST robotics. Teams have the opportunity to compete in tournaments during the year.
Dance
Express yourself through the beauty of movement and rhythm. Instruction in multiple levels of jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, tap and acro dance in our beautiful studio. Sessions conclude with an annual recital and two performances.
Lifeguard Classes
Learn water safety and life-saving skills to earn your lifeguard certification.
Cooking
Learn cooking basics, food safety and nutrition and make delicious, healthy mini meals and snacks.
Media Lab
Do you have a story to tell? Are you interested in film, television, writing, art, photography or storytelling? Join Media Lab and share your voice with us. Learn to create and produce an online magazine, and develop a wide range of creative content to share in video productions and photography.
Sports Leagues
Engage in healthy competition, hone your skills and learn to work as part of a team through our structured basketball, hockey, soccer, and/or preschool sports leagues.
