PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Options include Gym classes, Fitness classes, Starter/Prep Fitness, Junior/Intermediate Fitness, Middle/Senior Fitness, and Sports Leagues.

AVAILABLE SESSIONS

Gym Classes

  • Starter: 1st-2nd 

  • Prep: 3rd-4th 

  • Junior: 5th-6th 

  • Intermediate: 7th-8th 

  • Middler/senior: 9th-12th 

  • Description: Free weekly class designed to introduce members to a wide variety of physical activities while teaching skills, sportsmanship, and teambuilding.

  • This program ensure that all members can be exposed to our vision of teaching them the value of a healthy lifestyle.

Fitness Classes

  • Find Your Power

  • Wednesdays: Yas

  • Thursdays: Haley

  • 5th and up

  • Description: Members will have an opportunity to use our weightlifting center with an experienced gym and training staff. Members will learn basic weightlifting safety, proper body mechanics for lifting, and strive toward personal goals with their own individualized exercise programming. 

 

Starter/Prep Fitness

  • Starts 9/6 

  • Tuesday 5:30-6:30

  • 1st-4th grade

  • This course is designed to introduce elementary aged members to the benefits of daily movement. The class will explore different modalities of exercise throughout the entire semester. Examples of units include but are not limited to beginner weightlifting, proper body mechanics and lifting safety, circuit training, yoga, Pilates, and HIIT.

 

Junior/Intermediate Fitness

  • Starts 9/9

  • 5th-8th grade

  • This course is designed to introduce middle school members to the benefits of daily movement. The class will explore different modalities of exercise throughout the entire semester. Some of these exercise modalities include but are not limited to weightlifting, yoga, pilates, HIIT, and circuit training.

 

Middler/Senior Fitness

  • Starts 9/8

  • 9th-12th grade

  • This course is designed to introduce high school aged members to the benefits of daily movement. The class will explore different modalities of exercise throughout the entire semester. Some of these exercise modalities include but are not limited to weightlifting, yoga, Pilates, HIIT, and circuit training.

 

Sports Leagues

  • Starters and Preps: Lorne

  • Starts 9/8

  • 1st-4th grade

  • Sports Leagues will focus on building healthy relationships, how to handle challenges, along with extra focus on their personal basketball skills throughout the 12 week program.

Open Programs
Open gym is free unstructured supervised activity time where the gymnasium is available to members to play pick-up sports such as basketball or volleyball, participate in fitness stations, run laps, etc.
