The Heinz Summer Youth Philanthropy Internship program offers graduating high school seniors the opportunity to help improve local communities by developing and implementing a youth philanthropy project.
Interns are divided into teams to research issues affecting youth and their communities, identify priority areas, develop funding guidelines, solicit proposals and recommend grant awards. For more information on projects interns have funded in the past, look here. Previous interns have said that this experience taught them new skills and helped them become more connected to Pittsburgh.
This paid internship will run for eight weeks from mid-June to early August. Interns will work an average of 30-35 hours per week. This summer, the internship will operate out of Sarah Heinz House. An ideal candidate for the Heinz Summer Youth Philanthropy Internship Program is curious, creative, compassionate and committed to promoting equity in Pittsburgh.
