Sarah Heinz House

Core Values & Mission
Much more than a sports facility, the Sarah Heinz House, a Boys & Girls Club is true to the mission of its founder. The club provides children and teenagers with powerful role models and a safe, fun place to go after school, on weekends, and in the summer. It is our honor to help mold these future citizens with educational, artistic, recreational and community service programs. Our goal is to promote healthy lifestyles, and offer an environment that is welcoming, nurturing and challenging. We seek to “build good citizens.”

Mission

To empower all youth, especially those who need us most, to LAUGH, LEARN & LEAD.

Kids first

Kids are our priority and focus. With the relationships built at SHH, we give them a place to belong, feel safe, build confidence, have fun and reach their fullest potential. It’s what we do!

Character

Behavior that reflects positive ethical and moral standards. SHH seeks to instill values that lead to high quality people who are committed to working, volunteering and representing SHH, all the while developing themselves.

Leadership

Leadership is the ability to inspire and motivate others in a positive direction, regardless of
age, through guidance & mentoring. We lead others, knowingly or unknowingly, in the right direction by setting a good example.

Respect

To value others, self, the organization and our surroundings through our actions and
behavior. To be kind, considerate and appreciate individuality.

Service

To provide a high level of selfless giving and commitment to the SHH community through
our practices, programs and activities. Every act of service positively impacts the organization, the community and the individuals involved.
